From Spelman student to Spelman professor, Jaycee Holmes, C’2016, embodies innovation across generations. Now a professor of interactive media at Spelman College, she is also the co-founder of CodeHouse, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preparing students of color for careers in the technology industry. Through her leadership at both CodeHouse and Spelman, Holmes develops initiatives and curricula that expand access to emerging technologies, game development, and computer science using makerspace pedagogy and project-based learning. Her impact has been recognized by the Obama Foundation Leadership Program, Afrotech Future 50 Changemakers, and Forbes 30 Under 30.
