"I've always been interested in attempts at visualizing motion in graphic form—the work of #EdwardMuybridge, #ÉtienneJulesMarey, or more recently the amazing work of illustrator Rafael Araujo. We had an asset from a recent job that reminded me of Araujo's work, so I wanted to experiment with various simulation types that would translate the motion of the butterflies into surfaces and volumes.
