We receive an overwhelming number of DMs every day, and unfortunately, I can’t answer all of them. So I’ll start answering the most common questions here in my Reels. One of the top questions I hear: Why is lymphatic drainage done at the beginning of my method and not at the end? It’s important to understand the structure of the lymphatic system. Lymph is carried through vessels and filtered through lymph nodes, and both are located quite superficially in the body. Lymphatic vessels and nodes are delicate structures. When too much pressure is applied, fluid is released into the surrounding tissues, which leads to congestion instead of drainage. Our goal is not to congest tissue our goal is to move fluid out of the face and neck and guide it downward through the lymphatic pathways. If fluid is pushed into the tissues by pressure, it becomes harder to move. Once tissue is congested, proper drainage becomes almost impossible.
