April is National Youth Sports Safety Month, and Delta Dental of Illinois and the IHSA are dedicated to protecting student-athlete’s smiles both on and off the field or court. Mouth guards are vital in preventing injuries to the mouth, face, neck, and head during contact sports such as basketball, football, hockey, and soccer. ⚽🏀 As part of Delta Dental of Illinois' mouth guard giveaway program, over 15,000 Delta Dental green mouth guards have been donated to student-athletes in more than 120 Illinois high schools since 2022.
