One of the more unusual assistants I’ve had on assignment – a striated caracara or “Johnny Rook” inspecting my sonyalpha camera. Nothing tests the durability of your gear the way wildlife does. Looking over the final proofs for Reverence has left me feeling deeply grateful for the life I have led. It has not always been an easy path, with crashed planes, rough seas, and more close calls beneath the ice than I care to admit. But I would never trade a single moment.
