Couldn’t not reminisce about 2016 with yall. 🙃 I’m extremely grateful to have these memories. It’s simultaneously kind of painful to look back because at the time I thought I would get to have the experience again and now that feels pretty unlikely. I don’t say that for anyone to comment on how I should or shouldn’t feel about any of this, I just want to be real. The whole Olympic thing is so hard for athletes in sports defined by the games. It’s hard to not let it define you- both if you went and if you haven’t. One thing I focus on is being “enough” whether or not I went once, twice, or not at all. I hope you see the joy in these photos- my joy as well as the people around me (sobbing with my parents after I qualified was truly a big moment for my family).
