The NCAA recently approved the addition of up to two advertisement patches on a team's uniforms, beginning with the 2026-27 athletic season. Teams can wear the two logo patches during the regular season, with an additional ad slot being available for conference championships. Advertisements are not allowed during NCAA-sanctioned postseason events, like March Madness, due to conflicts with existing NCAA sponsors. Each sport's rules committees will determine placement restrictions at a later date. Jersey ads follow playing surface ads that were approved in 2024 to allow schools to generate additional revenue to help offset the $20.5 million used for student-athlete revenue sharing. Auburn sold ad space at Jordan-Hare Stadium in 2025. Expect to see Auburn among the earlier teams to announce jersey ads this time around.
