In the presence of greatness you become a product of your environment. Dave and Kevin were huge examples of hard work and dedication. They rode through all the turbulent times of BMX to become an inspiration to many and mentors to those lucky enough to know them and share the ramp with them. I’m lucky to have participated in so many great riding sessions with them both and based who I wanted to be in BMX from their shining examples. Their drive and athleticism was so strong and one time in Greenville Dave took me on a road bike ride and I nearly blew up a lung and Kevin I always appreciated playing golf with him because his math implied he was prime for the PGA tour. I’m just not sure they allowed that many mulligans on every hole 😂 I’m honored to have been in their lives in some way shape or form and remember that we all had the best of times on the ramp.
