As part of #NationalWomenPhysiciansDay, we are proud to highlight Dr. Amy Goodrich-Harris, advanced heart failure cardiologist at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Goodrich-Harris supports our collaborative team approach by providing patients with general cardiology services as well as pre-transplant evaluations. Dr. Goodrich-Harris knew early in her career that advanced heart failure and transplant services were the paths she wanted to pursue. "I was drawn to this field because the transplant community is close-knit and we all share the same goal of identifying patients with end stage heart failure and getting them to either heart transplant or durable left ventricular assist device (LVAD),” she says. “It truly is a remarkable feeling that I can make a difference and be a part of this amazing community.
