🇮🇸 After we left Reykjavík, we sailed on the Saturn to Ísafjörður & I did multiple tours from port. The 1st started with a boat ride to picturesque Vigur Island to meet with the wonderful family who take care of it, harvest eider down ethically from the Eider Duck, and run the Vigur Island Foundation for Conservation and Research. While very small, Vigur Island had a lot of details to entertain a photographer like me that has a fascination with details and textures. There’s also a lovely café. I sat down on the rocky beach and watched the arctic terns mating and feeding one another. And I marveled at the colors on the cliffs around the island, how they changed from emerald to amethyst to gray-blue as the light varied and the sun played peek-a-boo in the mists. Mainly, I just enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting on a rocky beach in Iceland. 📷 What’s your favorite detail?
