Teaching the Value of Nutrition, a powerful initiative for cancer prevention as well as those living with cancer. 🥗 This monthly cooking class, held in Dignity Health Cancer Institute at St. Joseph’s Nourishment Center kitchen, is all about building a healthier relationship with food.
Each session focuses on a specific health topic and teaches participants how to prepare nutrient-dense meals and delicious dishes designed to support digestive health and overall wellness. From lower-glycemic mashed potatoes to pumpkin pie made with vegan protein, the classes blend practical culinary skills with gut-friendly nutrition. 🍎
“We want everyone who takes our classes to feel more prepared when taking control of their gut health,” says Dr. Shilpa Vasireddy, director of the Cancer Institute.
📍 Classes are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Cancer Institute in downtown Phoenix.
