Aidan Billman ’26 of Lockport of CHS Robotics made history as he won the tournament championship at the Niagara Falls High School Wolverine Robotics Wolverine Robotics VEX V5 Push Back competition this past Saturday.
Billman (blue Nike sweatshirt) piloted Haruspex CHS (team number 1180E) to a 5-2 record on the day and a victory in the tournament championship match. The competition included 23 teams from throughout Western New York.
This is the first championship in CHS Robotics’ history.
The CHS Robotics Club, moderated by teachers Mrs. Emily Friol and Mrs. Karen Nicosia, also hosted Canisius’ annual invitational in early January.
At that event, Billman, Tyler Meredith ’26 of Cheektowaga and Jayden Graham ’26 of Buffalo piloted 1870E, to the state championships through their semifinal finish at the Canisius High School 2026 VEX V5 Push Back Robotics Competition.
The state championships will be held in Syracuse in March.
