Per the NCAA, the Division I Field Hockey Oversight Committee has proposed a change to overtime. The proposed format would be a single 15-minute period of sudden death, followed by shootouts. The rule will be voted on by D1 teams, and the rule can be adopted as soon as this month. The conversation has been tabled at the DII and DIII levels as of now.
