TAXING LONG ISLAND: A new study by TRIP, a national transportation research nonprofit, finds that drivers in the New York City metro area — including Nassau and Suffolk counties — lose about $3,755 a year because of poor road conditions, traffic crashes and congestion-related delays.
Analysts say these road-related issues are costing drivers in more ways than one.
