The nineth ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers head to Rutgers on Saturday searching for a bounce-back win and a return to form from one of its most important players.
Senior big man Rienk Mast has seen his production slide over the past month. In addition, he is recovering from the flu, an illness that sidelined him for Nebraska’s game against Michigan and sent him to the emergency room with dehydration.
“He’s feeling back to himself again,” Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg said. “He’s been coming in and getting a couple extra workouts, trying to get his lungs burning and get himself back into shape."
" Last week was rough, obviously, with the sickness and not being able to play, Rienk Mast said. "That was tough mentally. I'm doing a lot better physically this week.”
