Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will announce updates on the construction of the U.S. Southern border wall. Her visit to Nogales comes after she made an appearance at the border in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Tuesday and met with Border Patrol agents to see how her department can better support their efforts. "She pledged to ensure that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has the resources it needs to stop the flow of criminals and drugs into the United States," a release read. DHS noted that under President Donald Trump's leadership, daily encounters at the southern border have dropped 93%.
