Singapore just turned 60, and as always, it’s my little tradition to mark the occasion with some photos of myself decked in the national colours (yes, colours with a “u”) and a reflection on how proud I am to call this island home. 🏝️
Representing Singapore again in Paris last year reminded me just how deeply that pride runs. Wearing the flag on my chest was a feeling I never thought I’d get to relive, but being here in the US has made me realise that I represent my country every single day. In the way I carry myself, in the way I show up, I want the world to see what a Singaporean is truly made of.
It’s been six years since I moved overseas, but my roots remain firmly planted.
