Since moving to the US about 6 years ago, I’ve had the exceptional privilege to finally experience the full blown winter season in Boston this year. Despite adopting the winter mindset, there’s only so much my mind can be tricked into thinking that winter is fun. My body knows that I’m not meant for the cold. It takes longer to warm up, my knees creak, my back is sore every morning, my lips are always chapped and my skin dry as bones. When I went down south to visit Ross’s family, it just reminded me of how much sunlight and warmth make me happy (and perhaps time with family too!).
