The part of Lake Lugano where we rowed is called Lavena Ponte Tresa and it is a special place because when you row down the canal, you have Italy on one side and Switzerland on the other. Lake Lugano is also one of the prettiest lakes in Europe and we were grateful to have the opportunity to row on it. There is a rowing club on the Italian side of the lake canottieriluino where we launched off from and if you’re not an on-water rower, you get to experience the serene beauty of this landscape on your hydrow on one of the ‘Journey’ rows.
