Another year, another chapter, another page turned. As someone who religiously marks her books — dogeared pages, underlined passages, notes in the margins — I always like to sit at the end of the year, like I do with a book I’ve just finished, to pour over some of the moments that stood out to me. Where did I re-read certain paragraphs? Where did I obsess over the author’s word choice? Where did the plot unravel for me? Where did it come back together again?  And for the purposes of today’s month by month Reel: where did this book remind me to dream, despite it all? Many of my creative ideas felt far fetched or out of reach, and yet, I’m incredibly proud I pushed myself for them. Some were elusive and that’s OK. Some have only grown bigger for 2026. Either way, I’m beyond touched you decided to share a page or two with me here — and hopefully it inspired you to dream things up in your own story, in your own way, in your own time.
