Today on National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD), we’re celebrating a historic milestone in Nevada sports 🙌 This year marks the launch of Nevada State University Athletics and its very first varsity sport: Women’s Flag Football 🏈✨ Opening an athletic program by centering women and creating new opportunities for female student-athletes makes this inaugural year especially meaningful. The Nevada State University Flag Football team embodies confidence, leadership, and the power of sport to unite communities — on and off the field. NSU Athletics is led by coachyvonnewade, Athletic Director, whose 20+ years of experience as a student-athlete, coach, and administrator have helped shape a program rooted in empowerment, excellence, and access.
