We’re back with Part 2 of our HashVac test to see how the vacuum can impact dry times, potency, and terp retention. In our Part 1 test, it was extremely obvious that we over dried our HashVac sample, which was the real culprit behind the massive loss in terps. There is no reason to do a “full” dry cycle with a Hashvac’d product. We corrected a few more variables from Part One and sent our samples over to our friends at tryptomics for testing. The loss in terps and active compounds was drastically better than our first test, however the Hashvac’d sample still performed slightly worse than using the freeze dryer. These test results are not a double blind, peer reviewed, placebo test, so they are not meant to be taken as such. However, they were performed as honest as possible, and as close to the book as possible. We would LOVE to have a replacement tech to freeze drying. This technique appears to have benefits for production labs looking to speed up their dry times, and it’s certai...
