Today, we are excited to highlight David Fortune, writer and director of the #NashFilm56 official selection COLOR BOOK. David Fortune is an award-winning writer and director based in Atlanta, Georgia. He was named Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch, nominated for the 2025 NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Breakthrough Creative, and is a recipient of the AT&T Untold Stories Award, which provided a $1 million grant to direct his feature film COLOR BOOK. As a filmmaker, he seeks to capture character-driven stories that live inside cinematic worlds, bringing depth and humanity to narratives on a larger scale.
