Tevya said it best, with one single word: TRADITION. And in Jewish communities around the world, we love to honor them! This week’s Shabbat Shout Out goes to our very special seniors — and to the faculty who have helped carry one of DJDS’s longest-running traditions forward. For nearly four decades, Senior Stress Day, led by Jerry Rotenberg, has given seniors a chance to step away from tests, papers, and college applications for a day that’s equal parts surprise, connection, and fun. Coffee stops, senior gift shopping, Color War planning, and a special trip to Denver's own Game Show Battle Room allow our incredible class of 2026 to spend time together outside the classroom and help mark this unique moment in the final stretch of senior year. It’s a fun tradition with a big purpose: reminding our seniors to pause, enjoy the ride, and celebrate the community they’ve built together along the way.
