1. Research the inside of the cabin before your flight: Choose our seats wisely as this can make or break a trip. We choose to put both our kids in the middle and have parents across the aisle. This strategy worked because it was easier to reach across the aisle instead of over the divider when they needed help.
2. Plan for pressure pain during takeoff and landing: Ear pain is one of the biggest triggers. Offer a drink, pouch, pacifier, or chewy snack as the plane ascends and descends to encourage swallowing BUT put all these items next to them since you wonât be able to get up and hand them to them during this time.
