Nebraska got back on track over the weekend and now faces another major test. The seventh-ranked Huskers return home Tuesday night to host No. 13 Purdue in a Top-15 Big Ten matchup at Pinnacle Bank Arena. “It’s an old, experienced group that’s played together for a long time, and Matt Painter is as good as anybody in this business,” Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg said Monday. “They absolutely handed it to us last year — embarrassed us on their home court — and we’re going to have to be on point. It’s very important we get off to a good start.” Nebraska (21-2, 10-2 Big Ten) snapped a two-game skid Saturday with an 80-68 road win at Rutgers. Senior forward Rienk Mast led the way with 25 points and eight rebounds, helping the Huskers pull away late in the first half and control the game down the stretch.
