At least 6 people are lucky to be alive after a boat raced past a group of surfers and was capsized by the waves in Santa Cruz.
It happened on Saturday around 11:45 a.m.
Vince Tuzzi was recording the surfers when the boat came flying into his shot, darting past several surfers before being swamped by a large wave.
There were six people in the boat, including children; some without life jackets.
Santa Cruz emergency units and lifeguards responded and pulled all the victims to safety.
Fortunately, no surfers were hurt.
