Syracuse women’s lacrosse head coach Kayla Treanor has accepted the head coach position at Penn State, according to Inside Lacrosse’s Matt Kinnear.
Treanor played at Syracuse from 2013-16, scoring 260 goals and registering 133 assists en route to four straight Final Four appearances.
Treanor was named head coach in 2021 after Gary Gait became the head coach for SU’s men's lacrosse program. In her four years at the helm, SU’s all-time leading goal scorer garnered a 59-24 record, four straight NCAA Tournament appearances and back-to-back final fours.
She will join a 7-9 Nittany Lions squad who missed out on the NCAA Tournament.
