Carmelo Anthony is the G.O.A.T. of Syracuse sports until further notice, our columnist argues.
Anthony’s name is set to be immortalized in basketball folklore in tonight’s Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony.
However, the Baltimore, Maryland, native has already made his impact on the Syracuse, NBA and global communities through his on-court play, off-court influence and ability to inspire a new generation both inside and outside the game of basketball.
There is and will always be only one Carmelo Anthony, who is forever a Syracuse legend after leading the team to its sole national championship in 2003.
