In his postgame presser after a narrow 74-72 win over Colgate on Nov. 12, 2024, Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry said he wanted his team to play with more pace.⁠ ⁠ But by the end of Autry's second season, the Orange ranked 124th out of 361 Division I schools in KenPom’s Adjusted Tempo (AdjT) metric, which estimates the number of possessions per 40 minutes.
