Sophie Burrows spent the first two years of her career at Syracuse learning from Dyaisha Fair and Georgia Woolley. Before coming to SU, Burrows considered playing professionally with the Melbourne Boomers of the Women’s National Basketball League. Instead, Burrows committed to the Orange after speaking with head coach Felisha Legette-Jack. After she averaged just 4.6 points per game her freshman year, she’s now expected to become Syracuse’s next cornerstone while helping them return to March Madness. “It’s the big games where she actually plays better,” Mark Burrows, her father, said. “She likes the pressure. She likes being on the big stage.” Click the link in our bio to learn more about Burrows and Syracuse women’s basketball. Photographs by @LJ.Lenns (3), courtesy of SU Athletics (1).
