No. 7 Georgia Tech crushed Syracuse 41-16 in the Orange's fourth straight defeat Saturday.
Syracuse scored first for the first time since its victory over Clemson after Chris Peal forced a Georgia Tech fumble on the second play of the game. A 41-yard run from Yasin Willis put Syracuse at the one-yard line but it was unable to score six.
The Yellow Jackets then went on a 20-0 run to end the first half. Gill’s second touchdown in as many games cut the GT lead to 10, but Syracuse wasn’t able to muster enough scoring drives to challenge Georgia Tech’s advantage.
