Sachiel Ming’s second goal against NC State in as many games, Carlos Zambrano’s second Olimpico of the season and a Chimere Omeze dagger led Syracuse to a 3-0 victory over No. 5 NC State to advance to the ACC Championship Semifinals. Ming gave SU a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute. Zambrano’s goal directly from the corner 17 minutes later doubled SU’s advantage, and Omeze's with minutes to go sealed the upset. Entering Sunday’s match, NC State had only conceded four goals, one of which came against Syracuse in its 1-1 draw against the Wolfpack on Oct. 31. Defensive heroics late in the second half from Tomas Hut and Garrett Holman preserved Syracuse’s three-goal lead and SU’s ninth clean sheet of the year. Click the link in our bio to read more.
