Syracuse quarterback Rickie Collins is expected to enter the transfer portal, CBS Sports reported Thursday. The redshirt sophomore started five games in 2025, coming on and off the bench in others, and threw for 1,042 yards, six touchdowns and 10 interceptions.⁠ ⁠ Collins backed up redshirt junior Steve Angeli before he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles. After transferring to the Orange to be their starter last winter, Collins lost the starting job and failed to live up to expectations when thrust into the starting role.⁠ ⁠ SU is left with Angeli, Rich Belin and Joe Filardi as its signal callers with Collins, Luke Carney and Jakhari Williams’ planned departures.
