The Nancy Cantor Warehouse, located in downtown Syracuse, is home to Syracuse University’s School of Design. But this off-campus facility requires design students to commute, an arrangement which is far from dependable, our guest columnist writes. She emphasizes the difficulty of being required to travel for classes and rely on unreliable public transit in unsafe areas. SU must make transportation more accessible for students if they require them to take classes at the Warehouse, she urges. “Design students are unfairly expected to shoulder financial, logistical and safety burdens disproportionate to those primarily on-campus,” she writes. Click the link in our bio for more.
