Syracuse men’s basketball’s three-game winning streak was snapped in its 81-73 overtime defeat to Boston College. The Orange led 62-55 with under three minutes to go, but a 5-0 Eagles run and a late game-tying 3-pointer by guard Donald Hand Jr. forced sudden death. BC carried its momentum into the extra period, breaking away early. Despite the loss, it was SU guard Nate Kingz’s day, as he posted a season-high 27 points on an imposing 5-for-6 clip from beyond the arc. Syracuse forward Donnie Freeman also tacked on 19 points and 14 rebounds but stumbled with seven turnovers. Alongside Hand, Boston College guard Fred Payne was its featured offensive player. He commanded BC’s offense with 26 points in its first ACC win this season. Click the link in our bio to learn more. Photographs by @LJ.Lenns.
