Syracuse women’s basketball reached its highest point total in ACC play in its 94-70 blowout win over Georgia Tech Thursday. After the Orange had their three-game win streak snapped at UNC on Sunday, they bounced back behind efficient offense. Three players eclipsed 17 points. Guard Laila Phelia strung together 23 points, sinking all three of her triple attempts. Backcourtmate Dominique Darius nearly paced her with 20, sinking all eight of her free throws. Center Uche Izoje notched her fourth straight double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds while also hitting the four-block threshold for the sixth time this year. SU put forth a sturdy 53% field goal percentage and a season-high 67% clip from deep, which the Yellow Jackets had minimal answers to. Outmatched on the glass, GT grabbed 27 boards to SU’s 40, and its leading scorer Jada Crawshaw only dropped 16 points. Click the link in our bio to learn more. Photographs by @LJ.Lenns.
