Regy Thorpe is extremely familiar with Syracuse. He propelled SU to a national title in 1993 before becoming Syracuse women’s lacrosse’s assistant coach for the 2010s. After four years as Florida women’s lacrosse’s associate head coach, Syracuse turned to Thorpe when it had a coaching spot vacant last May. Following former head coach Kayla Treanor’s departure, Thorpe took his “dream job” two weeks later. “It was just a good fit for everyone and the timing was right,” Thorpe said. Thorpe looks to help SU capture its first national championship. Syracuse is coming off a 10-9 2025 season and a second-round NCAA Tournament exit, but Thorpe is looking to fulfill the ‘Syracuse standard’ he helped build. Photographs by @LJ.Lenns and courtesy of SU Athletics (1, 3, 4) and Florida Athletics (5).
