Syracuse downed No. 25 SMU 2-0 Saturday for its first ranked victory of 2025 via goals from Landon Darko and Carlos Zambrano. SU only won two of its first six games before dropping back-to-back conference matches against then-No. 8 Stanford and then-No. 19 Duke. But since its win against Colgate on Sept. 23, which made head coach Ian McIntyre the winningest coach in SU men’s soccer history, Syracuse has been a much-improved team. The Orange now sit fifth in the ACC after having won consecutive games against Colgate, California, Boston College and SMU. Click the link in our bio for more.
