Fran Brown has had a profound impact at Syracuse in the 22 months since he took over as SU’s head coach, including heavily recruiting his home state of New Jersey.⁠ ⁠ In addition to current NFL talent, including running back LeQuint Allen Jr. and defensive back Alijah Clark, Brown’s lured droves of recruits from The Garden State to sign with the Orange, as this year’s roster sports 17 players from the state.⁠ ⁠ “With all his trials and tribulations through his life, he can relate with a lot of kids and basically be more of an uncle figure, father figure, a big brother figure,” said Dwayne Savage, a former coach at Camden High School, where Brown played, and Camden Catholic High School.⁠ ⁠ Click the link in the bio to learn more.
