The members of nanyangpaidui do not look like they belong to the same band, but they make it work. They are unapologetically Hong Kong: loud, unrelenting, sharp and satirical. This post-punk band turned up the heat in our cargo lift while in Singapore for baybeats 2025, performing two infectious tunes: hit song 雞蟲狗公鴨 Chicken Worm Dog Duck and 愛情打樁機 Piledriver of Love, a new song from their latest album, released on 22 Feb 2026.
