There's no theatre programme in the world quite like the one offered by the Intercultural Theatre Institute (iti_sg). Each cohort of 12 individuals immerses in traditional Asian theatre styles—Japanese noh, Chinese jingju and kunqu, Indonesian wayang wong and Indian kutiyattam—while studying traditional and contemporary Western acting methods and techniques. Since its founding in 2000 by T Sasitharan and the late Kuo Pao Kun, ITI has produced more than 100 theatre artists, with graduates excelling not only as actors but also as arts practitioners, policy makers and cultural leaders. We hear from just eight alumni to discover where their unique training has taken them and how they are making a difference in the arts. 🎨: madebybeverley Read each profile now on Esplanade Offstage, link in bio 🔗 #EsplanadeSG #WonderHere #Offstage #ITI
