✨PHONICS ✨
I had a few messages about the different /th/ sounds and the different /oo/ sounds so we covered them here.
With the T&H there’s a voiced and unvoiced version. The unvoiced /th/ is produced by placing your tongue in-between your top and bottom teeth and releasing air, making a breathy sound.
The voiced /th/ is produced by placing your tongue in-between your top teeth and bottom teeth and using your vocal cords to make a buzzing sound.
The O&O make a long and short sound. One is a long stretchy sound (as in poo) and the other is a short bouncy sound (as in book). Can you hear the difference?
I’ve made a little activity to practice these sounds and I’m running my £5 phonics course this Thursday to help with all these sounds.
