What happened in the few minutes before this photo was taken is something I will never forget. Marvin and I had the opportunity to meet michelleobama when she was on her book tour. I recited exactly what I wanted to say to her over and over again because I knew I had a limited time to tell her my impressions of the book and how much of an inspiration she was to me. When it was our turn, she looked over at us and said, “Come on over here you two!” I couldn’t fight back the tears—especially considering I was pregnant with Summer and super hormonal.
