We run the risk of treating computation as a replacement for perception. As an auxiliary tool that allows us to compare and deploy at scale and speed, it functions as a process but bypasses any engagement with meaningful ideas about control and authorship. We chase work that moves away from control toward acceptance, but without the friction that makes that surrender mean something. The fine line between software-based craft and relying on technology collapses.
