"Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven” is now open at the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy in New Delhi, on view through March 31, 2026.
Developed as part of Hyundai Motor Company’s long-term commitment to artistic collaboration, the inaugural Hyundai Translocal Series brings institutions across regions to explore shared values under the theme of craft and community, through co-curated exhibitions, joint research, and public programs.
First presented at the Cheongju Craft Biennale 2025, “Hyundai Translocal Series: Entangled and Woven” arrives in New Delhi, connecting Korean craft traditions, Indian artisanal cultures, and British industrial and post-industrial contexts.
Through research journeys between Korea and India, eight artists and collectives examine textile legacies across time and place. Their newly commissioned works foreground textile art as a living practice shaped by community, memory, and the movement of knowledge.
