After 23 long years, ucc_gaa are #AshbourneCup champions thanks to a convincing win over UCD in Dublin on Sunday. Limerick star Sarah O'Brien helped herself to 2-2 over the hour as the Cork institution turned a 0-9 to 0-1 lead at half time into a 2-16 to 0-7 win by the final whistle. The title pushes UCC to 33 and now just two behind UCD on the all time roll of honour in the Ashbourne. Elsewhere UL and UoG took the honours in the Purcell and Fr Meaghair competitions earlier in the day.
