Escalating violence in South Sudan risks pushing one million more into starvation, according to a new hunger report released by Oxfam.⁣ ⁣ Since December, more than 280,000 people have fled their homes due to renewed fighting across Sudan, many seeking shelter in overcrowded schools, churches, and informal sites.⁣ ⁣ 75% of those displaced are women and children.⁣ ⁣ The situation will get worse in 2026, says the report.
