Rep. Pramila Jayapal called on Epstein survivors who were in the room as Attorney General Pam Bondi testified before the House Judiciary Committee. “The survivors in the room, if you are willing, please stand, and if you are willing, please raise your hands if you have still not been able to meet with this Department of Justice,” Jayapal said. “Please know for the record that every single survivor has raised their hand,” she said. Bondi clashed with Jayapal when the congresswoman then asked the attorney general to apologize to Epstein survivors for the administration’s handling of the case. Bondi initially pivoted to criticizing former Attorney General Merrick Garland, who served during the Biden administration, before Jayapal tried to cut her off to try to redirect her to the apology question.
