The Great Smoky Mountains get their name from the “smoke”—actually fog—that lingers in the valleys, a byproduct of the rich, biodiverse forest releasing organic compounds into the air.
At our breweries, steam is part of the brewing process—and in 2004, we began capturing the carbon dioxide produced during fermentation to reuse it throughout our operations.
That means fewer emissions, fewer truck deliveries, and a smaller footprint—all in the name of keeping wild places wild.
We’re proud to partner with the nationalparkfoundation to help protect the habitats that make parks like Great Smoky Mountains so iconic.
